New Primary School Now Open!
The brand new $17 million Pine View Primary School located in the heart of Parkland Heights masterplanned community opened at the start of 2021.
All of Parkland Heights is in the local area intake for the school. The state-of-the-art facilities will accommodate 430 students from Kindergarten to Year 6, with five early childhood classrooms, three learning blocks providing 10 general classrooms, an inclusive education classroom, and a specialised art and craft room. in 2022 they will be adding an Education Support Program for children with intellectual and physical disabilities.
There is a choice of local secondary schools too. Well renown Mother Teresa Catholic College is on the south-west boundary of Parkland Heights on Eighty Road, catering for children Pre Kindergarten to Year 10 (with future extension up to Year 12). Opened in 2019, Ridge View Secondary College is a short drive away on Sixty Eight Road. The Regency Avenue extension in the near future will also make this shorter cycling or walking distance.
Tranby College is a Uniting Church independent school (K-12) on Arpenteur Drive, which will be connected through to Parkland Heights when the future shopping centre site is completed.
Nairn Drive Extension
The new Nairn Drive extension now easily connects all of Parkland Heights to Baldivis town centre via the dual carriageway.
This will also be the new Parkland Heights Shopping Centre location; an easy stroll from anywhere within the development.
It will include a major supermarket, food outlets and a service station. Imagine pushing the pram for a well earned morning coffee after walking the kids to school or popping in with the family for a Sunday afternoon treat, saying hi to your neighbours and shop owners. Rockingham Council has started construction of the new Baldivis District Sporting Complex, which when completed will contain approximately eight hectares of open space. This huge project is under 2km away and completion of stage 1 is estimated for mid 2022.
